Too Long...

...since I last posted. Can't believe it was 5 months ago!!!

This card was made from a template by Jo Kill in Papercraft Inspirations magazine.

It's for my stepdad. He has an ongoing war with the squirrels in his garden so I kind of thought it would be funny to do this for him. I don't live near him so didn't see first hand but apparently his reaction was hillarious ;-)

The cardstock is American Crafts and the patterned paper is K & Co.

I love Jo Kills designs they are incredibly simple but sooooo effective!

Not my usual...

Not really sure about this card because it's much brighter than anything I usually make but it was for my mother in law who was in real need of cheering up and it certainly did that.

My mojo has been MIA for quite some time now but my good friend Treacle suggested I use some sketches for inspiration. So...the sketch for this one came from PBSC which treacle used on one of her lovely cards.

The image is from the pucca font from dafont.com, pp is from some freebies that I got with a magazine and everything else if from my stash.

Baby Boy

I had to make a couple of baby boy cards this week. Now I don't find these easy to make at all...my last baby was stillborn in April, 2002, due to a Group B Strep infection and April is not the greatest month for me. So with that in mind and mother's day looming I had a pretty tough time making them.

I have to say though, that I'm quite pleased with the way they turned out. The rabbit image is a Messy Rabbit stamp from Joanna Sheen, while the stork image is from High Hopes. Papers are DCWV and the ribbons and embellishments are, as usual from my stash :0)

Petal's birthday

This card I made for my lovely friend "Petal" who lives on t'other side of the world....well ok, not quite, but pretty far away in the USA.

I used a design by Jo Kill from Papercraft Inspirations magazine cos it was so cute but I couldn't figure out how to make the photocopier print the right bit of the page while enlarging at the same time for the pattern, so I basically had to draw the pieces out, cut them and stick them and hope it looked a bit like a panda.

The patterned paper is Basic Grey and the cardstock is Coredinations. The sentiment was done using the free flocking kit that came with the magazine and the ribbon and the other embellishments are from my stash.

Not off to a good start

I promised myself I would make more time to make cards this year and use up some of my immense stash....I'm not really off to a very good start. I just never seem to have a minute to myself.

I have made a couple though...this one was for my boss to say thanks for her help at work. The papers are K & Co and DCWV and of course Bazzil Bling cardstock. The sentiment was printed on the computer and the image is a Kerry Jo stamp coloured with copics.

2 cards...

...same design.

I had 2 birthdays, one for my brother and the next day for my sister in law, and not a lot of time to do them.

I decided on the cake download that I got from pink petticoat for both of them, so it was just a case of trying to find papers which would be suitable for them.

The papers are both basic grey. Ribbons are from my stash and the candles are using a quickutz die and I popped them on as I needed an embellishment.

For a really quick card I'm actually quite pleased with the results and thought that I managed to make them look quite different just by changing the colours.

Well this fella came out of the potato bag on xmas day and I hadn't the heart to peel him....hee hee! That is because he reminded me of my grumpy other half.

Of course, then said other half got hold of it and started to draw on it. I rescued it for a picture before he went too far.

I hope you all had a wonderful xmas and wish you all a very happy 2009.
