The card today is for my sister's birthday. She is a huge Liverpool FC fan and adores elephants so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and do the elephant with a red bow (I couldn't find a football playing elephant).

The stamp is from High Hopes and the cardstock is bazzil bling but turned round so it's showing the back. The ribbon was a bargain from Tesco xmas wrapping section. The sentiment was stamped using a couple of stamps from clear dollar and then matted using my nestabilities.

Saturday 8 November 2008

Wow...can't believe it's almost a month since I last blogged. Guess that's what happens when life gets in the way!

This card is using an image from Pink Petticoat, patterned paper is from Basic Grey and cardstock is bazzil.

The ribbon was pinched from my daughter's pyjamas (cos the colour was a good match) ;-)

Hmmm

I'm not very happy with this card at all. It didn't take too long to make and I knew kind of what I wanted to do but it didn't turn out the way I wanted at all.

I tried to make a rosette, because the girl is into horses, and I think the middle has turned out all wrong. I reckon it would have been better cut with my scalloped nestabilities rather than the circle punch I used.

Anyway, the stamp I got from Joanna Sheen. The patterned paper is DCWV adhesive and the ribbon and cardstock are from my stash.

Thanks

Just a quick one today. This card is for my trainer at work who we are supposed to have for the last time today. However, I got a text after I left the house to say she wasn't well so to have the day off. I'm supposed to be doing my maths exam instead but have yet to open a book :-/

Anyway, I digress. This was a quick fling together. The image is from Pink Petticoat, coloured with copics.

Cardstock is bazzil bling, coredinations and white card from my stash. A splash of patterned paper by K & Co and ribbon and flowers also from my stash.

Saturday 13 September 2008

I haven't made cards for ages what with the new job and my OU maths course. I had to make quite a few this week though as I had an anniversary, a 60th, 2 18ths and I still have a 40th to make for a friend of mine, but as she lives in the States, I think it will be a "sorry it's late - 40th" card :-(

The image on this one is from high hopes, and the backing paper is from papermania.

Red sky at night?

I took this picture of the sky the other night. It almost looked as if it was on fire. How awesome does it look?

If I have to make another 18th.......

...I think I might cry ;-)

I'm not sure about this one. But I'm not sure about a lot of my cards lately.

I have just started a new job and I'm still trying to do an OU course so trying very hard to get myself organized...not very successfully. I also don't feel very well today, I have rather a sore throat. I'm hoping it goes away as I'm working all day tomorrow.

I used a project from the scor-pal site and also made the pizza box to put it in.

Cardstock is bazzil bling...what else! The patterned paper is from K & Co and all the bits and bobs are from my stash. All the squares and circles were cut using the cuttlebug and nestabilities.

I have to say that having the scor-pal makes things a lot easier. I wish I'd got one sooner.

Golf!

This card I am not too happy with, but the person who ordered it from me was delighted with it. I was asked by a friend to make a card for a womans 50th birthday. Yep, no problem says I - then she dropped in...."on a golf theme"......argghh!!

I agonised for days about this one. I had an idea for some golf balls but I wasn't sure it would work. The inspiration for the layout of the card came from 2 cards that I got for my birthday from 2 very good friends of mine. I was amazed at the similarities between the two even though one is from England and the other from the USA. Anyway, one of my friends gave me this link and hey presto there were the very same thing I wanted to make and they looked fab, so I decided to give it a go.

So, the cardstock is bazzil bling, the pp is K & Co. Letters and numbers have been cut with my cuttlebug using the Olivia alphabet. The golf balls were cut using the bug and my circle nestabilites. I used photo card because it was glossy and then embossed it with the tiny bubbles cuttlebut embossing folder, but in reverse so they are dimpled. I also used the argyle pattern embossing folder and ribbon, gems and peeloffs from my stash.

Saturday 9 August 2008

Gosh....look how long it is since I've blogged! Mind you I have been away at my Mums, had an exam to have in for the OU and been running about after the kids (I'm still not sure why I run about after them more now that they are older, the youngest being 13, than I did when they were little).

Anyway, todays card is yet another one of the 18th cards that my daughter asks me to make on a regular basis at the moment...LOL!

I thought Edwin with his tray of drinks was fun for this. The patterned paper is by Papermania and was part of a wee stash my Mum bought me for my birthday which is tomorrow....gulp I'll be 39!!!!

I've used Bazzil cardstock on this and some lovely blooms from sarahs cards. The letters and numbers have been cut using the cuttlebug and the hippy chick alphabet. Flower brad is from Dovecraft and the large one is from the Laura Ashley range (again, pressies from my Mum). I wasn't quite sure what I would do with these brads cos they are really big and fabric covered but it goes really nicely in the middle of the flowers.

Blog candy on Andreas blog

Andrea is offering some gorgeous blog candy over on her blog.
You can see it here.
Her cards are lovely too so make sure you have a look.

For Ben

It's my nephews birthday soon. I've never met him as he lives in Texas although I have seen him on the webcam. He spoke to me for the very first time the other day on the phone, it went something like "bye..poo poo head", great to be loved...LOL!

This card is for him. The CS is bazzil bling and the stamps are High Hopes.

Sentiment was just printed off the computer.
There is a challenge over on Cute card Thursday and you have to make a card for a child. I've never entered a card into anything before but I guess there's a first time for everything.

The blog candy on Pretty Pressings is Pretty Impressive!
A very generous prize on offer.
Check out her cards too, they are gorgeous.

Grandad

Well I can wish all I like that I was back at the Bon Jovi concert, but that aint gonna happen any time soon....LOL!

I had some cards that had to be made for tomorrow. One of them for my daughters best friend, and the only information she gave me was that obviously it was for her 18th and it had to be a Gary Barlow (from Take That) card. Well it ended up very Gary Barlow-y. As well as the picture on the front, there are pictures inside, including one of GB himself with the girl in question (some doctoring and a craft knife);-) and then 2 pictures on the back too.

The card I'm sharing today is one of the ones for my dad, from the kids. My mind was a complete blank, so I was surfing a bit trying to find some interesting facts from 1943. Only trouble is, that it was during WWII and most of the facts involved battles etc.

I then found a list of people born that year and so the card was made. I wasn't sure about it at first, but the kids like it, so..................

Pp is by K & Co. Cardstock from my stash, and the arrows cut using a die with the cuttlebug.

Bon Jovi

I went to see Bon Jovi on Saturday night at Hampden Park in Glasgow. They were amazing !!!!

I have seen them live once before 6 years ago but Saturdays gig was incredible. My sister gave me 2 tickets so I took my 18 year old daughter (who's arm did not take much twisting I might add) and she enjoyed herself almost as much as I did.

I have to admit to being a bit worried when she made me run onto the pitch to get to the front! We didn't quite make it but were only 3 from the front after the golden circle so had a great view.

It rained all afternoon and all night but it was worth it. Todays picture is to pay homage to the legend that is....Bon Jovi.... :-))

Wednesday 18 June 2008

First for me

Well this is a first for me.
I have loads of blogs saved to my favourites that I look at every day, but I've not linked to show their blog candy before.
Over on Stamping Caz is a lovely blog candy prize. I just hope I've done the link properly...LOL!

Where did the time go?

It was my daughters 18th yesterday. Where on earth did that time go? I have a son who will be 20 in a couple of weeks but somehow my daughters birthday seemed a bit more of a shock.

Poor thing was working though and again today so she hasn't had a chance to celebrate. A bit of a rough shove into adulthood.

The card today is the one I made for her brother and sister to give to her.

I saw this image and it just reminded me of her. She can spend hours with her hair straighteners getting her hair just right and she hates if it's raining. She will even put up a brolly to walk a dozen steps to the car....LOL! Although one day a couple of weeks ago, we had parked quite far from the house and the heavens opened just as we got out of the car. She put up her brolly and a couple of seconds later, there was a huge rumble of thunder. She screamed, flung the brolly at me and ran.....with me following behind in fits of laughter. Her reasoning? Where there is thunder there may be lightning!

Anyway, I digress, the cardstock was just stuff from my stash, the flowers from my stash and the numbers cut on the cuttlebug using the Hippy Chick alphabet set.

Another 18th

I'm inundated with orders from my daughter to make 18th birthday cards for her friends at the moment.

Todays card is one of them...LOL!

I love these new Sugar Nelly stamps, the images are gorgeous. I only have 2 of them, but I can see the others following at some point ;-)

I love this colour combination too on the K & Co papers. This image was used on a card, using these colours, on the funky kits website and I thought it was lovely.

I did use my nestabilites to cut out the image and made a bit of a mistake. I put the die too far to one side and it cut the edges of the curves off. I decided to cut the sides off and thought it looked ok so just used it like that.

Flowers are from my stash as is the ribbon. The letters and numbers are cuttlebugged using the Hippy Chick alphabet and the sentiment is a plastic tile free with a mag this month.

Thanks for looking.

Friday 6 June 2008

Prom night

Wow....this has been a busy time, what with exams for the kids and prizegiving last night and prom night tonight.

My eldest came home from her hair trial last week with the words..."your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make some hair decor for me, perhaps a beaded hair comb?"

My first thought was "oh gosh", or something else unprintable....LOL!

I made the comb but as it turned out it wasn't suitable but I'd also made some flowers with beads and wires which could just be place individually into her hair. She was rather pleased with them (thank goodness, because I've never used beads or wire before to make anything) and her hairdresser was delighted, muttering something about our phone number and weddings......gulp!

Anyway the picture today is her hair...which she'll kill me for if she finds out, hence the reason for not putting up a pic of her in all her glory.

It was lovely and a first for me, seeing as my son left school before prom year. Took loads of pics and then went to the hotel to see all the kids in their finery. They were absolutely beautiful. Just made me reaslise how much my little girl is growing up!!!!

Thursday 22 May 2008

Baby girl

Todays card is a baby girl one made for Julie and Ian from Papercuts.

They had their wee girl last week so I'd better get the card signed and sent off to them!

The image is just adorable and is from High Hopes, coloured in with watercolour pencils.

Patterned cardstock is from the DCWV adhesive stack and the plain CS is from my stash.

I pinched the sentiment from somewhere, I think I'm right in saying it was in some card kits from QVC by Lisa Bearnson.

handprint stamp is from my seeDs and the ribbon as usual from my rather large stash (although I have been very good and not bought any ribbons for a while cos I'm trying to start using them instead of just looking at them ;-))

Monday 19 May 2008

Finally finished !

Woo Hoo....I've finally finished my exams for my computing course with the OU. what a weight off my mind, now I just have to catch up with my maths and do the next exam for that.....in 3 or 4 days :-/

The card I'm sharing today is for my daughters friend. I have a number of 18th birthday cards to do in the next few months for her pals, so thinking cap on so they're not all the same.

Cardstock is from my stash. The lighter blue background is bazzil bling. Patterned paper is K & Co. The name has been cut using the cuttlebug and harmony alphabet with bazzil bling cardstock.

All of the flowers are from sarahs cards and the brads and ribbons are from my stash.

The image is from Pink Petticoat, who have some great images and they are so handy cos you can print out a stack of them and have them ready to colour.

I had made a mistake with this at first.....I put on the little stones for her necklace/bracelet....then realised I still had to cut it out with my nestabilities and the cuttlebug. The result was some rather crushed stones. Luckily the glue was still wet so I could take them off and redo them....LOL !

May card

I have a lovely group of friends and I try, each month, to send them a card. Last month I didn't manage to get round to making them so was determined to get my May ones out.

I didn't use any stamping on this card at all. It was quite odd and got me thinking about the collection of stamps I have accrued in the past couple of years. Before that I hardly did any stamping at all and only had a few wood mounted stamps which don't really see the light of day.

The papers on this card were downloaded from the Canon website. The cardstock is Bazzil bling (what else ;-)) and the die cut shapes were done using the cuttlebug. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.

Monday 12 May 2008

Dunno Ducky

Gosh it's so long since I updated my blog. A good friend of mine told me I'm a terrible blogger.....she may have a point, LOL!

Another lovely sunny day here on the West coast of Scotland but a bit breezier than it's been lately. I haven't been out in the sun though, I don't really like it. I have been inside doing my studies and doing quite a bit of stamping images so I have a stock to work with.

This card was made for my youngest daughters friend. The duck image is from High Hopes (isn't he cute?) as is the wee chick.

I used my nestabilities to cut the aperture in the corner of the card and the chick is mounted on bazzil bling and put on foam pads inside the aperture.

Paper is K & Co and the rest of the CS is from my stash.

Sentiment and name were printed on the computer. I always tend to put the name on the card for kids. They love getting something that's personalised.

Saturday 3 May 2008

MILs birthday

It's a bit of a dodgy day today weatherwise, so I'm playing safe and staying indoors. I have been doing a couple of Open University courses while I'm still at home for the kids and I have my final exams to submit for my computing course. I thought I should probably make a start as it involves programming (:-s), so no crafting for me today.

It's my MILs birthday today and it's her card that I'm sharing today.

I used one of my magnolia stamps, Martha, and have her sitting on a frame made using my trusty nestabilities (what else....lol).

The papers are from K & Co and I love these ones. I have paper pieced Marthas dress using them too.

Flowers are from Sarah's cards and the sentiment is from a HOTP stamp set. The letters were cut using the cuttlebug and the harmony alphabet.

Friday 2 May 2008

Peeking over

Another card for my nieces birthday. This one was made using papers from my stash but not sure where they came from.

The stamped images are from a woodware set designed by Francoise Reed. They are really easy to use and the images are so cute.

I am having a few problems coming up with ideas for cards at the moment and a lot of my cards have ended up quite 'samey'.....either using the same images or using my nestabilities. I think I need to go looking for my mojo because one of my daughters is going to want quite a few cards for her friends soon and they are all turning 18.

My other daughter needs 3 next week for 13 year old girls so here's hoping my get up and go, gets up and comes back...LOL!

Monday 28 April 2008

Spring Lambs

Todays picture is specially for my lovely friend Treacle's children :-)

Recently she and her hubby took the kids to a sheep and lamb place and had a lovely day. I guess I am really lucky where I live....I have the sea on one side and open country on the other. I was standing at my kitchen window today watching these lambs. The one standing up was hillarious, standing all over it's brother or sister and the other one was just letting it do it.....LOL!

I tried to get a picture of them earlier when they were both jumping about but they hid when I went out to the garden!!

Saturday 26 April 2008

Think Tink

I have made this card for my neice who will be 5 next week.

A very good friend of mine sent me the Tink embossing folders set for the cuttlebug as a present. I bought the Tinkerbell cutting/embossing set.

I'm not quite sure what to do with the die to be honest. I did one and then inked over the raised bits but it looked horrible so I've left this one plain.

Cardstock is bazzil bling and the patterned paper is a freebie from a craft mag.

The frame has been cut with nestabilities and embossed with the tiny bubbles embossing folder also for the cuttlebug.

Gems and ribbon are from my stash.

Saturday 19 April 2008

Jukie's birthday

It's my lovely friend, Jukie's birthday today.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUKIE!

I made her this card using yet another image from Pink Petticoat. I thought she might appreciate the humour on this one. Again using my nestabilities for the matting and layering but using my single hole punch to create the holes around the edge of the larger one. The cardstock is from my stash. The yellow backing is bazzil bling and the ribbons are from my stash. I have coloured the image with watercolour pencils and sakura clear sparkle pen.

Flowers are from Sarahs cards and the brads have a glittered coating on them.

Thursday 17 April 2008

Jo's birthday

It was my friend's birthday this week so todays card is the one I sent to her. I moved around a lot as a child and so didn't manage to stay in touch with many friends. I still write to one who I've known since I was two.....but I haven't seen her since I was 15 as she now lives in the States. The only other one I am in touch with is the one who got the card. I met her when I was about 11 or 12 and we still write and send birthday/xmas cards etc.
I'm going to England in July to meet some of my other lovely friends so I shall pop in and see my school friend too.........maybe I won't tell her and keep it as a surprise (although it has been about 18 years so maybe she won't recognise me...LOL!)
Hmm...it would appear that a lot of my cards lately have been made using my nestabilities, I think I need to try something different. This one has a pink petticoat image on it coloured with watercolour pencils, card and ribbon from my stash.

Saturday 12 April 2008

Men!

It was my OHs birthday recently and he is notoriously difficult to make cards for. He doesn't have any interests except for fly fishing so his cards usually take on that form. He is even worse to buy for and this year I ended up just giving him money.

This card has on it a beautiful stamped fishing image. The stamp is from a set from Tanda Stamps. I think I got them not long after OHs birthday last year so they've been sitting untouched ready to use....LOL!

Paper and ribbon is from Sarah's cards.

Tuesday 8 April 2008

It's my nephew's 17th birthday tomorrow. I had a terrible job this morning trying to make cards for him so decided to go to town and buy some. Only problem was, I couldn't find any that I thought were suitable for him and had to come home and make some anyway!

The card has an image from Pink Petticoat on it, coloured with watercolour pencils. The sentiment has been printed on the computer and the cardstock is from my stash.

His Mum and Dad are getting him driving lessons...so watch out Scotland...another teenager on the roads!!!!

Saturday 5 April 2008

Funny Day

It's a very odd day weather wise here on the west coast of Scotland. We have had a bit of rain this morning. Followed by a good few hours of lovely warm sunshine and now we keep having snow and hail showers followed by bright sunshine (which melts all the snow).

The card today is another one that was sent to Texas to celebrate my in-laws anniversary but this time from my kids.

The patterned paper was again a freebie from a craft mag. The image is from Pink Petticoat who have some great designs. I used my nestabilities for the scalloped circles and the embossed cardstock is done with my cuttlebug and the tiny dots embossing folder. The ribbon is from my stash (which seems to have grown out of all sensible proportion)

Friday 4 April 2008

It's my sister and brother-in-laws anniversary next week and as usual I'm running late with their card. They live in Texas and although I posted it this morning, there is no way it's going to get to them by Tuesday.......oops!

They are only in their 30s but I think they will appreciate the humour that is intended on this one....(or at least I hope they will)

The cardstock is just some white hammered cardstock from my stash. The patterned paper was a freebie with a cardmaking mag. Blue cardstock and mirri card from my stash. Ribbon from my stash and the image is from I Brake for stamps.

Wednesday 26 March 2008

Quick and Easy

Had a bit of a panic on yesterday when my OH decided he wanted me to make cards for my BILs birthday which is today ( I was going to cheat and buy them).

It had to be quick and simple and even worse.....for a man!

Cards for girls are so much easier...LOL!

This one has K & Co paper for the backing, quickutz candles, sentiment printed on the computer with a mirri card backing and brads for my stash.

Ideally I should have cut out a cake for the candles to sit on, but he probably won't even notice, so I think I can get away with it in this case.

Sunday 23 March 2008

Snow!

Well here on the West coast of Scotland is probably the only place without any snow at the moment. This morning, however, I dropped my girls off, one at work, and one at the stables, and on my way back I had to stop and admire the island of Arran which looks beautiful just now.

I went home and got my camera and then went down to the pier to get a better view.

Don't the mountains look pretty topped with snow?

I shall send a copy of this picture to my sister and brother in law who now live in Texas and I guess they don't get to see views like this too often now.

Wednesday 19 March 2008

Petal's Birthday

I made this card for my friend Petal's birthday. I saw the stamps being used on this blog http://indigostudio-4hounds.blogspot.com/ and fell in love with them.

The cardstock is DCWV and the cupcakes were watercoloured using Dovecraft brush pens then a sakura glitter pen (which doesn't show in this photo) and each of them cut out individually. The cupcakes and sentiment are clear stamps from hero arts.......aren't they great?

If I had remembered that this was a rather special birthday for my good friend, there would have been a few more cakes on this card....LOL!

Tuesday 11 March 2008

Anniversary card

Well I went to the SECC on Saturday to the creative stitches and hobbycraft show. I had a lovely time as usual but didn't spend as much money as usual.....maybe I'm ill....LOL!

I did, however, buy a CD rom, which I usually stay away from. The reason for this spur of the moment purchase was the examples that the man had made up, they were stunning. I made this anniversary card using the images on the CD, cut out and decoupaged them. Added a pearl stick on for the earring and flower centre.
The second card is Tilda and Edwin from Magnolia which is one stamp but I cut them out and put them on opposite sides of a gatefold card decorated with K & Co papers.

Friday 7 March 2008

All fingers and thumbs

I made this card for my Mother-in-law for Mother's day. I tried to make a ribbon blossom like Pam Basset http://indigostudio-4hounds.blogspot.com/ and like my friend jukie http://montysmumscraftretreat.blogspot.com/ but mine just didn't work out, it looks like a bunch of ribbon tied together whereas Jukie has managed to follow Pams tutorial and make hers look like a ribbon blossom.

I guess I need more practice, I was all fingers and thumbs. check out Pams and Jukies versions, they are soooooo lovely.

Mother in law was delighted with her card anyway so that was ok ;-)

Jimmy's bus

I was recently asked for a card for a man known locally as "miss-a-bus".....o...k.......

The only other thing I was told was that he'd recently been in hospital and I had to ring someone to find out what he was actually called.

My friends know what a chore it was to make this card as I was to make it using the bus theme. Something which I don't really have much of (or any of).

However, using a bit of clipart and some masculine colours I think it turned out ok eventually. My eldest daughter did comment that if I ever need a West Ham card then I've hit on the perfect colours....LOL!

Thursday 28 February 2008

Last Minute Rush

As per usual a last minute rush to make Mother's Day cards for my Mum who lives in England so I need to get them posted!!!!

The first card is made using a Tilda Stamp and just coloured in with pencils. I've added Diamond Glaze to the raindrops and the rain splash on her hand and it doesn't show on the photo but it gives a great raised effect. The shapes have been cut using nestabilities and the background embossed on the cuttlebug. "mum" has been printed on the computer.

For the second card I used the nestabilities to cut an aperture into some card, framed it with some mirri card and then stamped Tinkerbell on the bit that I cut out but put it inside the card. Some patterned paper and a few bits of ribbon with "granny" printed onto a tag cut by the cuttlebug and that was it.

Saturday 23 February 2008

The reveal.....

Seeing as all the recipients have got their cards I can reveal the card I made earlier. I think the mail must have had a tail wind because I only sent the cards on Tuesday or Wednesday and my friend in the good old US of A got hers today.....gosh!
So, this card was made using the dreaded orange corrugated card stock. the floral paper was sent to me by a good friend and comes from the DCWV Teen stack. The image is a stamp from the sugar nelly collection coloured in with pencils and clear glaze added with a sakura pen to her wellies.
Hearts cut out with my cuttlebug and sentiment done on the computer. Button and fibres from my stash. It doesn't show too well in the picture but the card is light brown to coordinate with the brown and orange in the patterned paper.

Monday 18 February 2008

Themed cards

Yesterday I had to make two cards, one of which I posted yesterday. I'm posting the other one now. I had to make a Celtic themed card. Now I try and steer clear of doing these as it can work out costly if you have to buy specific items to decorate the card, but as luck would have it, I had a pack of Celtic playing cards which I bought a couple of years ago when I thought I might dabble in ATCs.

Well I dabbled, and it didn't work so the playing cards were consigned to the bottom of my storage table....until yesterday :-))

Some celtic images, plenty of green and white and hey presto!

The lettering was cut out with Cuttlebug 'you're not the boss of me' alphabet dies.

Sunday 17 February 2008

psychic friends?

I have a lovely friend who sent me a quickutz die for no apparent reason other than she's just lovely. Anyway, the next day, I had a call from someone who wanted 2 cards made for a young man's 21st birthday. The only information was his name, the fact he liked Celtic football club and that one of the cards was from the staff at a pub!

As it so happened the die that my friend sent to me was of a beer mug!!!!

Now how did she know!!!!!!

The card is make using mostly quickutz dies...and bazzil card stock with a bottle top (for pubbyness you understand) - LOL.

Friday 15 February 2008

Right Back At Ya Petal.....LOL!

A very good friend of mine has taken to doing this so we can't see what she's sending us till we get it......well right back at ya Petal....Hee Hee!!!!

All I will say about this card is that my Mum got me a box of card recently and there was some orange corrugated card in it. Well I have always steered clear of this as I don't really know how to use it. So, I decided that the cards I make this month for my friends would use this and apart from that, I would just wing it!

You will need to wait until they get their cards before I show the full picture ;-)

Monday 11 February 2008

Friends

My daughter has lots of friends and she constantly needs cards as their birthdays are spread quite evenly throughout the year. The only problem is, I'm constantly having to come up with new ideas for cards to make them as I've been doing them for the same group of girls for a number of years now.
This one is a bit like a mini book and I've used Liquorice Lane papers to decorate it, ribbon from my stash and the letters have been cut from silver card using my cuttlebug and Hippy Chick alphabet. the tag is a plain metal rimmed tag stamped with a sentiment from a set of HOTP stamps.

Saturday 9 February 2008

clever girl

My friends know that I am doing an Open University course on Data, Computing and information. Sounds a bit geeky I know, but I decided that while I was still at home with my youngest daughter I may as well try and do something useful.
I had a 3 and a half hour lesson this morning on javascript programming. I came out the other end feeling a little dazed to say the least.
The card I made a while ago for my other lovely daughter who is going to uni in the summer to study biomedical sciences with psychology. I made the card when she got great grades in her highers.
It's using some gingham cardstock (don't know the make) ribbons and gems from my stash. Cuttlebug letters and the stars are using a template from papercraft Inspirations magazine.
Who knows. maybe at the end of my course my daughter might make one like this for me...LOL!

Wednesday 6 February 2008

Anniversary

An anniversary card that I made this week for a couple celbrating their Diamond Wedding......wow!

The card has been made using K & co Addison papers and a lovely penny black sticker. Some ribbon from my ever growing stash and words printed out on the computer.

First Post

I have decided to keep a blog.

A few of my good friends have one and I love looking at theirs to see what they have been doing and what they have been creating.

Not that I'm suggesting mine will be as interesting as theirs in any way, shape or form, but I'll give it a bash.
Image is of a card I made recently and a few people will recognise it. It is using a magnolia stamp that I got a while ago.
I have promised myself that I will spend more time on craft this year so that it doesn't become a chore when I'm asked to make cards for family and friends......we'll see!
